Python Acolytes were rumored to have started as a gang of thieves who, once apprehended, had suffered the punishment of hand amputation. Cut loose, back into society, their obvious deformity made it difficult to gain the trust of potential employers. Finding meaning in the poetic rambling journals of Smirking Python, a new spiritual perspective began to sweep through the minds of these homeless vagabonds. They banded together, took up the mask, and retrained themselves. What began as a group of independent pickpockets and highwaymen soon grew into a powerful legion of mercenaries and assassins. With their wits and a bladed stump as their weapon of choice, they’ve evolved from thieves to warriors.
