I have always loved carousels. Riding them and touching their carved faces, they evoke strong nostalgic memories.  Sea Rabbit Carousel and Catfish Carousel are the first in an ongoing series.

Sea Rabbit Carousel was in the Soft* A plush art show at myplasticheart in NYC. This Carousel piece is made of wool on wooden pole leafed in gold. The base is laser cut clear acrylic. It is approximately 12.5 x 8 inches.

This piece is a needle felted wool sculpture. Made by entirely by hand, this sculpture has been made without a pattern and is unique & one of a kind. Every piece takes many hours to create. Though soft and stuffed animal like, he is art. They are not meant for rough play or for small children but is a perfect collectible for an older child or discerning adult.
